Small hand blown red glass heart rests naturally in a hand forged iron vine stand. The hollowed glass heart is not only a stunning sculpture but also functions as a vase for fresh flowers, diffuser oil / potpourri oil decanter. The heart is held by, and can be removed from the iron vine stand, black with Matte finish. Dimensions in inches- 8”high x 5”wide x 4”deep
The Heart is blown from recycled glass. Old bottles & dicarded glass is collected at our artisan glass blowing studio. The glass is crushed & heated in large kilns where temperatures reach 1500*F. Once molten hot glass is of proper consistency, it is then blown into a mold that was designed by San Miguel Trading. Red dye is added during the heating process.
Each Iron Vine stand is shapped by hand, heat, & hammer. This artisan ironworking technique gives each stand an organic presence, the iron ams are wrap naturally around the curves of the glass heart.
This unique glass heart sculpture is a San Miguel Trading signature design.
