This cherry stained pine chest is manufactured using traditional assembly methods in North Carolina by the Taylorsville Crate Co / Vintage Editions- a hand crafted keepsake box that sets itself apart from other wood box sourced in Asia. None of our products come from China, they are all make here in the USA.We carefully cut, finish, and join every large keepsake box drawing on over 30 years experience in the case and crate making craft. Each memory box for keepsakes has unique characteristics that vary in finish color and texture, just like individual works of art. Every chest is unique, with variations in finish color and texture. All of our products share an attention to detail and high standards for the quality of our materials and assembly. The Walnut Stained Pine Chest has authentic leather handles and decorative steel hardware. The Chest is made from Radiata Pine. The wood is 1"" thick and the outside is stained with a walnut colored oil finish. The sides are joined using a haunched box joint. A box joint means the ends of the wood pieces are interleaved almost like dove tails. The box is then pin nailed for a super strong joint. The box joint also adds a nice decorative accent to the piece. Every home has items which are necessary for daily life which do not make for great decoration. The chest itself makes a great decorating accent as well as a useful storage space. The leather handles and steel hardware add handsome design elements for rustic, farmhouse, and transitional interiors. This wooden chest works for bath organization, as a keepsake box, essential oil storage box, or treasure chest. OD - 12 x 17.75" X 9.75.
